Research and media

Findings travel. Context gets left behind.

Human Context is a research and media practice. We study , then publish it in a form .

Context Not how the process diagram says they work. The workaround, the shadow spreadsheet, the step everyone skips. That is where the real system lives. Context A decision, a tradeoff, and the evidence behind both. Delivered in the week it is needed, not the quarter after.

What we do

  • Field studies

Small, focused research on how a program, a team, or a technology is really being used. Interviews, observation, and the data the organization already has.

  • Advisory

Turning findings into a plan someone owns. Scope, sequence, risks, and the governance to keep it moving after the report is filed.

  • Human Context with Alicia

Conversations with the people running complex work in the open. The podcast arm of the practice, publishing alongside the research.

How we work

Three commitments

  • Name the question first

Every engagement starts with the decision the research is meant to inform. If there is no decision waiting, there is no study.

  • Show the working

Methods, sample, and limits travel with the finding. You should be able to see where a number came from and where it stops holding.

  • Publish what can be published

Client work stays confidential. The patterns underneath it become public writing and interviews, so the field learns something too.

Have a question worth studying?

Bring the decision you are stuck on. We will tell you whether research is the right instrument, and what it would take.
